Module 1: Introduction, Integration, warm-up, and experience

Module 2: Communication in the team

  • Reflection from the team game experience – what helped and what hindered the achievement of the goal?
  • Factors affecting the quality of information flow in the team. What improves it, and what worsens it?
  • The impact of communication factors on work efficiency: imprecision, assumptions, communication styles in the context of task execution

Module 3: Practice of effective communication in the team

  • Responsibilities and tasks of the sender and receiver. What can we do when we are in one of these two roles?
  • Generalities in conversations. How to locate and turn them into specifics? Summarizing conversations and agreements
  • Communication styles. Which ear do I listen with? Interactions between styles

Module 4: Communication in difficult situations

  • How to fully express what we want without having to choose between ‘honestly’ and ‘nicely’? Basics of NVC communication
  • Distinguishing facts from judgments and interpretations in verbal and written communication
  • Practical exercises – conducting a conversation towards a win-win solution or at least a compromise

Module 5: Emotions in the communication process

  • Identifying and naming your expectations and needs in a professional context
  • What is the point of naming emotions and what to do with this knowledge in a professional context?
  • Communication metaprograms – understanding communication differences that often cause frustration, irritation, and similar emotions

 

Module 6: Prototyping

  • Prototypes in business – types and execution
  • How to test ideas
  • Tools: storyboard, physical prototype, test card

Module 7: Practice makes perfect

  • Exercise in adapting to interlocutors depending on the metaprogram – to reduce the impact of emotions on the course of the conversation
  • Reflection from experience: preparation of ‘tips & tricks’ for use in everyday team situations
  • Individual action plan for each participant
